University
is the best place for student to develop their soft skill, to build themselves
to be a good person that can contributes a good thing to our nation. University
Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is one of the most popular universities in the field
of engineering in Malaysia. So, I’m the first year student of civil engineering
want to share something that interesting activities that has been held in this
university. Firstly is about the 53’ Festival Convocation that started from 30
October 2014 until 5 November 2014. It takes about a week for this activity
because this is the annual event for this University and people nearby this
university also were invited to this event. This is because there are many
stall at Dataran UTM and also has a show from local artist such as Akhil Hayy,
Fynn Jamal and also Datuk M.Nasir. Thus, this is some attraction for the
citizens that live nearby this university.
This is some advertisement that has been placed in and out
of this UTM to advertised and to let other people know about this event :
Next is about my
First Year Experience (FYE) programme that held at college which is Kolej Tun
Dr Ismail (KTDI). This programme was organized by my Faculty, Faculty of Civil
Engineering. This camp takes about 2 days to complete the module that has been
arranged by the motivator that takes over this programme. The motivator’s name
is Mohd Hisham Jaafar. Basically, the module that has been arranged by him is
all about the value or basic knowledge that needed by the student of Civil Engineering.
Thus, all first year student of Faculty of Civil Engineering were compulsory to
attend this programme. He separated all of us to 10 groups and he also gave to
us two tasks to complete it with group members. The first task is about build
anything that are related to civil engineering by using a waste material, and
the other task is about produce a five minutes video that capture all the
activities held in two days. My group has won the first prize for the best
video production. I’m really happy with my group performance.
